Specific Working Conditions:
– Must be able to lift items up to 25kg
– This position requires physical work on deployed warships involving movement in small spaces.
– This position requires 25%-40% Temporary Duty away from site.
– This position requires personnel to be fully deployable.
All deployable personnel must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Required Security Clearance: NATO Secret
Assists Core Section Head with the development of technical solutions for all maritime afloat tasking, development of troubleshooting SOPs, and technical refresh/upgrade of all system hardware;
Assisting with the planning and coordination of ship surveys prior to scheduled CIS installation;
Assist with the System Administration (SA) of HW and SW of assigned systems;
Ensures all technical and service oriented documentation pertaining to assigned systems, interconnections, supporting cable plant etc. is prepared, properly stored and kept up-to-date;
Ensures Configuration Control data is reported to Core Section Head in a timely manner;
Involved in providing remote support of Flagship handovers for those nations involved in the Standing Naval Forces (SNF’s).
Maintains a close liaison with other technicians and engineers within the CSU and the wider NCI Agency.
Requirements
Required Security Clearance: NATO Secret
Knowledge and experience in VMware Virtualisation technology.
Knowledge of SAN technology.
Knowledge and experience in Windows Workstation imaging techniques.
Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Server Technologies; Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange.
Knowledge and experience in Application Server technologies
Knowledge of ITIL IT service management model;
Knowledge of Incident and Problem Management processes and experience in this area;
Ability to write technical documentation and user guides;
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
