Hybrid working policy in place after successfully completing initial training – 2 set days in the office, with the option to work the rest from home. The Camping and Caravanning Club is the world’s oldest and largest Club for all forms of camping and our aim is to help people enjoy the simple pleasures that camping can bring. We are currently recruiting for a Systems Engineer to join our busy Business Systems team on a fixed term contract of at least 1 year while we undertake the biggest transformation project in the Club s history. This is a varied role where you can expect to: Provide day to day management of a predominantly Microsoft Windows 2016/2022 servers environment utilizing Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, DHCP and Azure AD Connect. Manage and maintain a clustered VMware ESXi 7 environment. Manage and maintain a Citrix Cloud Virtual Apps & Desktop environment. Manage and support multiple firewall vendors which include Check Point and Palo Alto firewalls. Provide technical guidance and support to the 2nd line team which includes the production of comprehensive support documentation. Ensure that all IT systems are maintained effectively and efficiently and that failures are resolved promptly. Troubleshoot server issues and undertake root cause analysis for service interruption and recovery. Ensure that all systems are kept secure from internal and external attacks and vulnerabilities. Applicants should have the following experience : Experience in a 2nd /3rd line technical support role Strong Technical Knowledge of Windows Server and Desktop OS with Active Directory including the administration of DNS, Group Policy, DHCP etc.Proven experience of working to SLA s/Targets together with a high level of analytical skills and the ability to effectively solve complex ad-hoc faults Supporting Citrix XenApp environment with remote thin clients Strong Microsoft SQL 2016/2019 management skills with a basic knowledge of SQL queries Excellent standard of both verbal and written communication An ITIL Foundation This post will require you to be on-call midweek evenings and over the weekend when required.
