Prospero Teaching is looking for a SEND TEACHER who can deliver lessons to students in a SEND school in Blackburn BB2
The school is for students many of whom have found it difficult to be successful in a mainstream school and some with an Educational Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The school is a provision for a range of needs, including autistic spectrum disorder, Asperger’s Syndrome, speech and language difficulties and severe social, emotional and mental health difficulties, for example, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD),The school differentiates the curriculum to ensure all pupils can access it, for example, by grouping, 1:1 work, teaching style, content of the lesson.
The position is open to all experienced and those who have a strong background in mentoring children and young adults. Depending on performance, the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience in a similar setting / SEMH/ CARE
LEVEL 4 Teaching Assistant/or QTS equivalent and above is preferable
GCSE Maths and English and Computer literate/ studied contruction/ joinery/ motor vehicle
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
