Are you a dedicated and compassionate individual with experience working with children who have special educational needs? We have an exciting opportunity for a Special Education Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join our team at a school in Southend.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to provide additional support to children who require it, ensuring that they have access to the resources and assistance they need to thrive. You will play a crucial role in helping children with a range of special educational needs to reach their full potential, providing tailored learning plans and one-to-one support as required.
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally with SEN children
A strong understanding of the additional support that children with special educational needs may require
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
A willingness to undertake further training and development
A positive and proactive approach to working with children with additional needs
