An excellent opportunity has arisen at a primary school in Tilehurst are searching for a bright teaching assistant to join them as soon as possible. This is a one-year contract working full-time. The position is to support the children in a KS2 class with particular focus on Numeracy and Literacy. They are looking for a graduate teaching assistant who is enthusiastic and committed! Experience in a similar role is ideal for this position.

The school are looking for graduates who are personable, academic, creative and/or sporty are ideal for this role. Extra-curricular interests such as music, arts, languages and sports are desirable. This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate to build upon their knowledge and confidence before completing their teacher training.

Start Date: ASAP – interviews commencing immediately

A graduate with a degree graded 2:2 or above is ideal for this role and a graduate with some previous experience working with children is desirable but not a necessity. This relevant previous experience could include childcare, tutoring, helping within a nursery, in a sport setting, charity or in a similar classroom setting. Graduates with no experience working with children will also be considered.
