Moduflow Fan Systems Ltd require a qualified electrical/general engineer looking to specialise in air movement systems. You would be joining a dynamic manufacturing company based in Barrow-in-Furness. As part of the team, you will work primarily with the Technical Manager helping to provide advice, design information, and system solutions to a wide and varied group of clients. This role is customer facing. Ideally you will have already gained some knowledge in electric motors, HVAC controls, turbomachinery, fan performance/motor torque graphs and thermofluid dynamics. This is a perfect opportunity for an engineer to acquire new skills as well as develop their existing talents in a fast moving but exciting field of engineering. The role: For design and development of air movement products to suit a variety of markets. Working as part of the design technical team the role will involve providing system solutions, identifying the correct product to use in air movement applications, design testing of standard, and new products for manufacture. Production of necessary documentation required by the client. Provide technical support to both external and internal clients. Contribute to development of internal systems, engineering tools, and streamline activities of manufacturing. Contribute to the production of necessary technical bulletins and technical data sheets. Compliment the existing technical team by being more electrically focused rather than mechanical. Flexible location with first 3 months in Barrow-in-Furness then possible travel to additional location. Potential remote working The ideal candidate will ideally have experience in the following: 1. Ideally holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electronics, other engineering disciplines and STEM subjects will also be considered. 2. Must have 2-5 years industrial experience, ideally in the air movement or relevant industries. 3. Understanding of airflow and air movement and the ability to calculate airflow requirements of applications including a selection of fan types. 4. Good experience/knowledge of electrical controls/VFD s/PCB design. 5. Have experience in working with clients/being customer facing. 6. Have a good technical aptitude and be open to acquiring new skills. 7. Team player. 8. Flexible working attitude
