Working with a Specialist company within Marine Transportation, we are assisting with the recruitment of a Technical Superintendent.
Role:
Full Time – Permanent
Hybrid – Mixture of working from home and office based
Travelling to ports in other countries maybe required
Job description (not limited to):
Prepare Stow plans for single and multiple yacht shipments, from forecast model, identifying stowage anomalies, routing, and port calls are planned for best efficiency of space and time
Prepare and assist in cradle design, actively contributing to design, producing technical plans to allow for internal or 3rd party fabrication
Design, produce and deliver method statement packages to assist Loadmasters
Create, populate, maintain and update DWG Database for vessels, individual yachts, commercial cargoes, cradling types and lifting equipment in multiple formats
Assist in any other task deemed appropriate by Technical Director
Qualification and Experience required:
Experience in Microsoft & other Software packages
Prolific experience of Computer Aided Design (CAD) 2d – CAD3d an advantage
Background/knowledge of engineering principles, naval architecture and ship/port working
Experienced and some history of working in commercial maritime (Deck Officer, Port Captain, Cargo superintendent, Surveying or yachting industries)
