The Technical Training Manager is responsible for the creation and delivery of Modular People Solutions IT skills development programme Novus , with the intention of expanding the talents and skills across all employees at all levels within the business. Knowledge of, and experience in, the software development landscape is key, as these will be taken into consideration when establishing the training and performance programmes to ensure that the training programmes are up to date with the latest technologies and practices in software development. The Technical Training Manager will work collaboratively with trainers and line managers to develop training capabilities and learning methodologies to meet candidate and client expectations. You will be designing and managing programmes that incorporate best practice to expand on the experience, talents, and skills of graduates and get them ready to enter the corporate workplace. You will be responsible for: Creating training plans and programmes that are aligned with the organisation s objectives and having a strong understanding of what these are. Being the technical SME across the range of the development landscape for software development learning: e.g. Front and back end development, manual and automated testing, Procedural, Object-oriented, Scripting, DevOps VC, CI/CD, Cloud Architecture (AWS, Azure) Acting as the go to within the business for anyone with questions or queries regarding training and development plans. Working closely with leaders across the organisation and having a full understanding of their units and training requirements. Embracing different styles of training techniques, including virtual and face to face delivery, e-learning, tutorial sessions and coaching. Having an awareness of the allocated budget and an ability to find solutions to implement the required training. Building relationships with 3rd party training providers. Designing staple curriculums for all employees. Preparing, co-ordinating, evaluating and documenting all training activities across programmes and divisions to ensure that our training workstreams are delivered to support the acquisition of skills and professional development for our trainees. Lead on the creation of our virtual (digital) delivery strategy using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and content authoring tools to enable our programmes and training solutions to be delivered through a virtual delivery environment. Experience / Skills: At least 5 years experience of leading training / eLearning teams with proven success in developing and driving strategic commercial growth. Exposure to relevant industry IT skills frameworks, such as SFIA or other. Competent in software development technologies and working methods, Software Development languages, Development Methodologies and Software Deployment: Java .Net, Business Analysis.Technical Skills: – Software Development Methodologies – Usage of software development platforms – Exposure to software development languages and frameworks – Usage of business analysis techniques and tools Understanding of IT roles and their required skills and competencies. Experience in creating IT training material. Training / other project and programme budget management Demonstrable ability to develop, manage and implement training strategies. Strong experience of the IT sector with insight into sector skills issues and trends, professional bodies, educational bodies and institutions, membership organisations, employer organisations within both the public sector and private sectors.
