NHS Shared Business Services are seeking a Transactional Procurement Partner to join our Transactional Procurement Team. The Transactional Procurement Team provide front line service delivery of procurement related activities within Purchase to Pay, specifically managing the process from customer requirement to Purchase Order placement and all related activities to enable accurate invoice payment. You will report directly to the Transactional Procurement Service Manager, operating within a key function to manage Oracle system to successful creation of Purchase Orders by liaising with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders -thus supporting the smooth management of the Purchase to pay process. Professional and concise oral and written communication skills are key to this role, as well as having the ability to present information to customers in an easy-to-understand format. What you will be doing: Ensuring that the service provided is professional, responsive, and flexible to the changing needs of the customers, balanced against the need to deliver meaningful outputs that support the team and NHS Shared Business Services colleagues within the Finance and Accounting function. Reviewing procurement requirements, in line with the compliance and standard financial instructions per trust as well as non-compliant requisitions, communicating and liaising with clients. Assessing documentation including contracts, quotes and catalogue items for processing requisitions. Working with the Transactional Procurement team to action and resolve and queries for internal and external customers. Providing advice and guidance to external stakeholders on effective submission of requisitions, working with them to ensure that they submit compliant requisitions that support faster processing of PO s and in locating orders not received. Assisting and directing any queries in the P2P process. Arranging new supplier sets, liaising between clients and suppliers, to ensure bank details and required documents are received in a compliant format and actioned in a timely manner. Actively managing and reporting on their own workload to ensure delivery of customer requirements. What you will bring: An understanding of the purchase to pay process. Being an analytical thinker and operator in order to deliver the right outcome first time. Experience in IT systems specifically with MS Office A proven ability to deliver quickly and accurately to customers across a high volume of requests. A high level of organisational skills, effective time-management, and a proactive approach to delivery. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work with stakeholders at a variety of levels.
