JLR
A leading premium automotive business and leading to move towards electric autonomous vehicles.
Vehicle NVH is responsible for ensuring the many aspects of refinement required to achieve the customer expectations for all Jaguar and Land Rover programmes. The attribute function is responsible for attribute strategy, methods and targets developed for the full vehicle, systems and components. The Advanced NVH Technologies team role is to develop and deliver Active Noise and Sound Design technologies to engineering programmes.
JLR were the first mainstream product to use active sound design in our I-Pace, and all our PHEV and BEV vehicles have been equipped with Acoustic Vehicle Alert Systems (AVAS) systems since 2018, long before regulations mandated. Our Engine noise cancellation technology was pivotal in the successful release of our PHEV vehicles, and the new Active Road Noise Cancellation system is a technology story for many JLR products. These technologies unlock traditional compromises between weight and NVH performance and allow a superior customer experience.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The Advanced Technologies NVH team is a small proactive team well used to working within tight timescales. The team has worked collaboratively to introduce of a range of Active noise technologies that have delivered the powertrain and road noise sound quality across the JLR product range.
