Job Purpose

I am looking for a talented and experienced Laboratory Team Leader to join an expanding and well established company in Birmingham In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of scientists and technicians in the verification of assays or assay/instrument systems in compliance with appropriate regulatory guidance for release as IVDs

You will also be responsible for ensuring that all planned work within the department is appropriately assessed for H&S risk and all necessary mitigations are put in place.

Qualifications

• A good relevant scientific degree (Grade 2(i) or above in Biochemistry, Chemistry or similar)
• Experience in lab facing role.
• Experience in leading/managing people

• Good understanding of subject area.
• Project work including project design, implementation, statistical analysis and report writing.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
• Good analytical skills, with a methodical approach
• Ability to problem solve and make informed decisions
• Attention to detail
• Excellent team skills
• Must be able to work and lead in a team environment
• Excellent organisational skills
• Ability to manage time efficiently
